How long until I actually become …?
A fashion/beauty editor for a good magazine in New york: such as Allure, Seventeen or Cosmogirl.
This is what I’m going to do, I’m going to join the newspaper club in high school, I’m going to get good grades, I’m going to NYU to pursue my dream of being an editor, while I’m in college I’m going to get an internship.
Then, how long will it take for me to be a fashion/beauty editor for Seventeen, Cosmogirl, or Allure magazine?!
I’m very determined. I’ll work really hard ….
It will probably take you several years, depending on how good of an opening you can catch in New York. Sometimes, you can start really big as an assistant to an editor. Other times, you start as low as the organizer of the closet where the model outfits are held. Be sure to be constantly open to getting good connections, though. It’s not always about what you know, but about who you know. I hope that this helps you! (btw, you have a great plan for getting to your goal!)
