how do I do MLA in-text citation for magazine ads?
here’s an example of a magazine ad in my “works cited” page (note not that it really matters, but my teacher required we staple the ads to the essay as well.):
“Palmolive After Shave Lotion.” Advertisement. Life 1952.
would my in-text citation look something like this?: (“Palmolive After Shave Lotion”)
With in text citations, you should keep them as brief as possible. Just enough information to get the point across, so that someone can refer to the works cited page where all of the information is.
My suggestion:
(Palmolive, Life 1952)
The quotation marks are unnecessary.
