Can a black man be a investment banker?

hello I’m a 27 year old black man with a MBA in Finance.I got my mba from boston college.I’m interesting in becoming a investment banker somewhere in Massachusetts.I found a company that they will pay 120k for the starting salary for people that have mba from the top 20 business schools in the united states.Boston college is like the top 15 according to business week. The candidate that the company is looking for has to work 75 hours a week mon-fri 6 am-9pm.I don’t have a problem with that because I’m single with no wife and children so i wont care if i work that long hours.I really like the pay and i’m thinking of applying for the job but i have never seen a black investment banker in new york city or on any business magazine. Will my race prevent me from getting the job?

Just because you haven’t seen any black investment bankers doesn’t mean there aren’t any that do and have worked in the investment industry. I’m sure there are plenty that do. Maybe you need to take sun shades off :) Your qualifications should certainly land you good position with most any financial institution. Are you sure about that 75hr work week?
