Do you think there is a correlation between intelligence and atheism/theism?
-A survey of Royal Society (the UK’s national academy of science) fellows found that only 3.3 per cent believed in God – at a time when 68.5 per cent of the general UK population described themselves as believers.
-A separate poll in the 90s found only 7% of members of the American National Academy of Sciences believed in God. (cite for both of those polls: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/2111174/Intelligent-people-less-likely-to-believe-in-God.html
-A recent meta-analysis of 39 eligible studies from 1927 to 2002 was published in Mensa Magazine, and concluded that atheists are more likely to be of higher intelligence than their religious counterparts. (cite: http://rationalwiki.com/wiki/Atheism under “Demographics”)
How does this make you feel?

(most of the time, when such a question is asked, theists provide either no evidence, or just anecdotal evidence, which furthers illustrates the point)
