i need to know the required programs that used to design a magazine?
i’m a graphic designer but never designed magazine n i wanna know what software use for that..thnks
The professionals will, typically use a page layout application like QuarkXPress, the old Pagmaker, or the more recent InDESIGN.
It CAN be done with Illustrator or one of the Corel products, or, for that matter, in Microsoft Word, but a REAL publication would probably use a dedicated page layout application.
Now, these are JUST to layout the pages of the magazine. An entirely different software is used to to the “pagination.” That is, how the pages will be laid out on the paper as it is printed on the full sized web presses with the giant rolls of paper. This has to be done very carfully, so, as the printed paper is cut, folded, trimmed and bound, all the pages come out the proper side up and in order.
