… Magazine journalism?
How hard is it to be a writer for People magazine and, fashion, CosmoGirl, etc?
As others have said here, work up. Work for school newspaper or a student union – that's how I started – and where you can see if you can find an intern in a local newspaper during the holidays (difficult). If you are working on student newspaper could help with interviews local groups, etc. and have an idea of how to handle these situations, the media (search there is always someone maintenance plan before doing so). It is always interesting trying to learn shorthand, even in our time. Another way is to write for the web, but I think that the press offers even more land in writing, because it teaches you to be more precise and not waffle. Always be prepared to re-write and always check facts and sources. I know many people these days think it is easy only in a position of great names renowned magazine. It is not. Unless you are a famous writer I get the long and difficult name in byline. Good luck.
