Media Kits questions …?
I have to do a class assignment in a press kit. I know it's really basic way, but I wondered if anyone can help these abbreviations (CoV and model) and how to read a press release in terms of demographics, for example? What that cov%% Comp Index and the media? I am interested in the media kit for the magazine. How I can know they are the main target audience? I think I'm a bit overwhelmed by all the info here. Http: / / www.people.com/ http://www.people.com/people/static/mediakit/pdfs/demographics/audience/audience_profiles_adult.pdf people / static / Mediakit / pdfs / demographics / Public / audience_profiles_women.pdf
There are a lot of information there but you should understand what each party is to have a full understanding of what you need to get readers sheet. Comp% (percent composition) = Percent concentration of the audience in total audience of a media vehicle. Cov% (percent coverage) = percentage of people covered by a medium or vehicle. Index = percentage of numbers in a base with a corresponding number of 100 average. all that means over 100 is good, all is not less than 100. I know that sounds confusing, but let me give some examples. According to People magazine readers sheet for adults. Adults have a 18-24% neck 26 and a model of 17% with a score of 134. This means that people in the audience is composed of 17% aged 18-24, and out of the total universe (ie, every 18-24 years) 18-24 years account for 26%. 1918-1924 rate States are 34% more likely to read the magazine People. When we try to assess a publication to advertise in, we examined the three themes and how they relate and how it matches our target customer demo so we can see if the publication is a good fit. Usually begin to see the first index and then see how these correspond to a model and CoV. Thus in I put a nutshell demos and evaluate small demonstrations to give a concise analytical nature (which means treating 18-24 24-34, 35-44, 45-54) If you look at 21 + which is not really give a good understanding of their readers who are as it is a large sample of readers. 18-24 are the strongest demonstration that are 15% more likely to have attended college. They are 27% more likely to have a HHI of $ 100K + (it is due to their average age is 41 players), the median HHI is $ 67,129. They are 10% more likely to be employed and 16% more likely to be a professional or managerial. And 20% are more likely to live in a HH in children between the ages of six and 11 (again, because the average age of 41 years or less, still live demo at home). Hope this helps, Good luck!
