magazines for sony reader
Considering buying a Sony Reader?

I read a lot and collection of books continues to grow. I prefer to buy my books, but I’m running out of space for bookshelves. I was thinking of getting a Sony Reader or something close to it. I’ve read some comparative results from tech magazines but would appreciate feedback from people who actually have a device. Also, there’s the possibility of my purchasing an iPhone, so should I just get that and have the Reader uploaded to that? Which is the better move?

I’m a Kindle 2 owner. If you like to read and you’re in the United States, you should definitely go for the Kindle. Here is a comparison of it with the Sony Reader:

Other than the free wireless access, more available content is also a very important factor. I know quite a lot of Sony Reader owners complaint that it is difficult to find some books. Amazon, on the other hand, provide over 300,000 books in Kindle format, and the number is keep on growing (I remember there is only 270,000 Kindle books when I buy my Kindle 2 two or three months ago).

Don’t read on iPhone if you read a lot. The screen is not designed for long time reading. It will get you tired and will have bad effect on your eyes in long term. Ebook readers are designed for reading, and the Kindle uses the e-ink so even when I read for long hours I don’t feel tired.

I remember I read this review when I decide to buy the Kindle 2. See if it help:
