Great VS Communications undergraduate journalism. (Cornell University and New York)?
I wish I was a journalist and actor. If Cornell University a few years of degree, and majored in communications, not much work as the main undergraduate journalism? Should I learn the same? What is the main difference? I would like to work for Rolling Stone and New York Times later. I would also consider working for an intern – PBS KIDS INTERACTIVE (Summer), I also want to http://www.pbs.org/aboutpbs/jobsdatabase/ a master of journalism at Columbia. If I went to Cornell would not be acting. If only adhere University of New York? Here is a previous question, what they can learn more about me: http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index; _ylt = Avl9wKRUFD_MXQBU5.DaIl7sy6IX; _ylv 3 =? qid = 20080330115456AA44jDU Any comments are welcome. Thanks! Is there a difference because it is a degree? Thanks, again!
Slow down, champ! It's great to have these great goals, but if I read your last question correctly, you are in Grade 8 and has several years until you're ready to implement in schools. What's more, is that only want to go to New York and Cornell University does not accept you. journalism not only in college admissions, but even college, in particular, is extremely competitive. Consider the options to be flexible! Sorry for the unsolicited advice, but I remember being in eighth grade and absolutely convinced I would be a famous actress with a degree in architecture and attend Brown graduate school at RISD. And not at all how things are over. The difference I saw between media studies and journalism, is that communication departments are generally more focused on academic discussion on the subject. Senior journalism do more to prepare students for careers in everything from their choice usually in News Journalism, mass communication or strategic communication (public relations marketing.) After a year and half said communication studies major, decided to apply a J-school because I see many possibilities for great jobs and I finally got annoyed with people so nice that the Department com all athletes and slackers. I am very happy I took all the classes I have com, however, because they were an excellent preparation for the kinds of communication strategic, I'm like a big journalism. If you want to be a professional journalist, you can study what you want in school … theory. That said, I recommend j-school undergraduate. Although the number of students in today's journalism, and the number of new technologies threaten to many journalism jobs, labor market is very competitive.
