What do you guys think of GLOBE magazine?
I was at the market one day and I came across a magazine filled with hard to believe headlines. “Obama is GAY” “Bush smuggles Cocaine in the White House!” “The Jackson kids subject to violence?” “Young Haitian Earthquake Survivors subject to rape and prostitution!”
And I’m like “WTF”. Why is Globe magazine telling lies about these people? Why can’t these people have their privacy? I’m a Journalism major, and I’m very VERY furious at these headlines. I don’t even know if any of these things are true.
What do you think of GLOBE magazine? Is it a magazine filled with BS? Would you recommend it to people?
As a journalism major, I’m sure you’ve learned the basics of news reporting, including getting two credible sources to back up your facts.
Globe doesn’t use “ethical” journalism as its foundation. It will take the word of just about anyone, publish without proof, or claim a “family member” or “acquaintance” gave them the info.
TABLOIDS are not REAL OR ETHICAL NEWSPAPERS. They are entertainment, at best.
However, The Enquirer might be nominated for a Pulitzer Prize for exposing John Edward’s affair with Rielle Hunter long before the “legitimate” media knew about it! There’s an exception to every rule, you see.
