Is it permissible to submit a letter of recommendation when not asked?
I am applying for a position as editor in my college literary magazine and the application asks for a cover letter, resume and writing samples, but I wondered if it was authorized to send a letter of recommendation of my advisor in my past another school where I was also a magazine editor? to present something that has not been asked for more, or would it kill me? Thanks!
If you have worked the same kind of work before asking now, by all means, get the recommendation. It never hurts to have good references.
