How I can start a career in fashion writing?
I am eighteen years old and just finished High School.College not a right of option now.I would like to start a career as a fashion writer and would like advice.I read many fashion magazines and study style of writing and plan on sending a request letter.The main problem is to have no previous experience writing as a local newspaper.
It is a very difficullt to achieve without a college degree. There very few jobs in the whole and without a college degree and type of connection, I think there is no chance of getting a job with the magazine. But hope is not is lost. Look at the following link Craigslist. Blogs and online magazine in New York are always looking for talent. I approach one of them and see if they are going to get a shot. There will be plenty of hard work, and probably do not pay much, ifanything at all, but can give you an opportunity to focus on his dream. Once you have a little experience and demonstrate that you can write, then you have something to show the major magazines.
